Stereotype of the Month Entry
(10/15/05)

Another Stereotype of the Month entry:

Another Bizarro featuring Eskimos wearing parkas and building igloos as if this is their normal lifestyle. Sigh.

Note also the not-so-subtle implication of primitiveness and plain stupidity. These Inuit aren't building igloos because they're ideally suited for the environment. They're building them because they saw something similar in a pet catalog: a habitat for gerbils. In other words, because they have thoughts of their own about what to build, which essentially makes them no different from gerbils.
