Stereotype of the Month Entry
(3/8/01)

Another Stereotype of the Month entry:

Native American Adult Costumes

(This particular category of costumes is no longer available, but you can still search the site for "Indian.")

The problems here are pretty self-explanatory if you visit the site. Lots of common stereotypes are present.

As a "treat," here's a picture of "White Dove" holding a tomahawk. Think about that: a woman "warrior," about to chop someone, named after a dove. Star Design Costumes obviously thought they could have the best of both worlds: a gentle princess and a savage brave all in one.
