Dreamkeeper Keeps the Faith
(7/4/04)

Another response to Dreamkeeper Keeps the Faith:

>> Dreamkeeper was really good..and you know..I don't care what non Indians think about the movie! It was good to me! To us! No offense to anyone..but its about time I saw a REAL Native movie! <<

Okay, but how do you define a "REAL" Native movie? Dreamkeeper starred Native actors but it was written by a white guy—John Fusco, who also did Thunderheart, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Hidalgo. I think a white guy directed Dreamkeeper too. With Native writers and directors as well as actors, aren't movies like Naturally Native, Skins, and The Business of Fancydancing more Native than Dreamkeeper is?
