Stereotype of the Month Entry
(6/30/04)

Another Stereotype of the Month entry:

From Al Carroll:

Xenomorph
MODEL KITS CATALOGUE Hall of Beauty PAGE 1-4

Indian Warrior (view #1)
Indian Warrior (view #2)

Stumbled across this, another entry in depicting Indian women as sex objects, with blue eyes and fair skin and a thong.

Also note she's depicted alongside unreal fantasy figures.

Rob's comment
The fantasy models include Amazon, Venus, Angel, Goddess, and Robyn Hood. Also note the "Jap Sexy Lady" model, which suggests just how sensitive the artist is to racial issues.

Portraying a Native woman as slender and buxom, with light skin and blue eyes, is the classic approach of old Westerns, romance novels, and collectors' dolls and plates. The woman is just exotic enough to be alluring, but not so exotic that she'll actually discomfit anyone.
