Stereotype of the Month Entry
(12/19/02)

Another Stereotype of the Month entry:

McCaleb challenges trust accounting claims

"There's no basis for any of this," he said, responding to claims of billions owed. "I mean, if I were an account holder, I'd say, 'Well, golly, I've got $1,000. Maybe I should have gotten $2,000.'"

Rob's comment
McCaleb, a Chickasaw Indian himself, impies the trust fund scandal isn't real. Good-for-nothing Indians are just trying to cheat the government out of money.

Actually, it's more correct to say a good-for-nothing McCaleb was trying to cheat the Indians out of money. That's why he resigned after Judge Royce Lamberth found him "unfit" to manage the trust scandal.
