Another Stereotype of the Month entry:

This cartoon is ironic, not funny. It would be equally ironic if Billy played an Indian who was a senator (Ben Nighthorse Campbell), astronaut (John Herrington), or Olympic athlete (Naomi Lang). But most people wouldn't get the irony in those cases. That's because the cartoon plays on perhaps the best-known stereotype of Indians today: that they all run casinos.
