Stereotype of the Month Entry
(8/31/00)

Another response to the Stereotype of the Month entry on Howard Stern, Son of a Beach:

>> Why would you need a scholarly dissertation to determine that Stern is a talentless fool? <<

Because about half of America thinks he's a talented genius.

>> It would appear that his *real* talent is being able to dupe enough people into thinking he has talent. <<

I should rephrase what I wrote earlier. Half of America finds Stern watchable or listenable, which isn't the same as his being talented. After all, Americans will watch car wrecks, pro wrestling, and Survivor, none of which require any talent.
