I detect a hint of sarcasm. Nevertheless, you might want to review the recent world health survey that put the US 37th among all countries (Cuba was 39th). And perhaps you've heard of the theory that pre-civilized man had to "work" only a few hours a day to meet his needs. Bottom line is whether people are happier in the post-industrial US than elsewhere. Who knows, but I doubt we have the monopoly on happiness.
