Chickasaw film continues to wow festival audiences“Pearl,” a movie produced by the Chickasaw Nation and Media 13, opened the ninth annual deadCENTER Film Festival with a sold-out house Thursday, June 11.
The film is a biopic of Chickasaw aviatrix Eula “Pearl” Carter Scott and follows her through childhood and teen years as she becomes the youngest licensed pilot in America. And:“Pearl” was shot primarily in Oklahoma and about 60 percent of the cast is local, of which several are Chickasaw citizens.
