Chamberlain gives baseball cards
NY grads get baseball cards from Yankees' Joba ChamberlainThe graduating class of a suburban New York City middle school got an unexpected surprise tucked inside their diplomas--signed baseball cards from Joba Chamberlain.
The cards were a thank-you from the Yankees pitcher for the charity work the eighth-graders at Pleasantville Middle School performed all year.
The students didn't even know Chamberlain knew about their project: collecting and donating books to the Winnebago Indian reservation in Nebraska. Joba is a member of the 2,600-person tribe.
