Such a thesis might be cogent, if only women of 'the dominant culture' stopped wearing furs, stopped smearing their faces with muds and organic dyes, and ceased to honor reception of live plants as something culturally meaningful. Otherwise, nothing of western culture has been changed in the last 13,000 years...
